Arrival on Menara International Airport in Marrakesh. We will pick you up from the airport and bring you to your hotel or Riad in Marrakesh. There is lot to see and to do in Marrakesh.
The central square Place Jamna el Fna will be the place to be at dawn with snakes, monkies, acrobates, storytellers and many foodstalls. Dont forget it is their work and they will always ask you some money for their tricks. Always be aware for pickpockers in a place like this.
You can enjoy a typical maroccan mint tea on one of the many terraces on the big square.
Today you can explore the city of Marrakech on your own or with a local guide who will also show you the less known spots and unique places of the city. This walking tour is optional.
Wander around through the souks (markets) in the Medina of Marrakech, let yourself be pampered in the Hammam and enjoy the delicious dishes of the Moroccan cuisine. There are a number of sights not to be missed such as a visit to the Koutoubia mosque, the Koran school ‘Ben Youssef-Medresse’ and the ‘Jardin Majorelle Botanical Garden’ or la maison de la Photografie.
As from October 2017 the museum of fashion designer Yves Saint Lorent will ne open and for sure worth a visit.
After breakfast we will pick you up from your hotel and we will head for the High Atlas Mountains. Going over the Tizi n’Tichka pass is a spectacular drive, with stuning views.
We are heading for the village Ouarzazate, also know as the doorstep of the Sahara desert where we will stop for lunch. Our route continues through beautiful and wide landscape along Berber villages and impressive kasbahs. We will stop in the dades valley with colourful rock formations and quiet oases.
After a good maroccan breakfast we drive you to the next valley, the Todra valley. The Todra Gorge is a narrow passage with rock formations of up to 300 metres on either side lead straight up.
There is a small river flowing through the Gorge which dries up in the summer month. After lunch we head for the first dunes of the dessert, Erg Chebbi. We will spend the night in an auberge near the dunes.
The next morning we will explore the surroundings and after lunch we will visit the normads who will right with you on their camels into the dessert..
After 1,5 hours you will arrie at a small camp in the middle of the dessert were you can watch the most beautiful sunset. Diner is served in the camp. We stay the night in the camp to watch a thousand stars.
We get up early to watch teh sunset in the dessert and serve you a good breakfast. On our camels we right back to the village where our comfortable 4×4 car is waiting for us to drive you to one of the most famous kasbah’s, Ait –Ben-Haddou. We will walk arouond in the kasba hand stay the night in the village.
Today we will drive for 5,5 hours through the beautiful Draa valley to the 5th King city of Morocco, Taroudant. It is a small city with a cosy admosphere and you will find less tourists here.
Taroudant is known for it silver jewelery and the crafts ware of the Tuaregs. The Tuaregs are normad people of pastoralists origanaly from the Sahara and Sahel. On the central square you can sit on a terrace to watch the everyday life in Taroudant. We stay the night in a nice hotel.

Today we continue our way to the fishermans village of Essaouira. Essaouira is a pleasant destination where many artists and ‘ hippies ‘ live and work. The medieval-style Medina of Essaouira is on the World Heritage list of Unesco and consists of Battlement walls within which you will find many shops.
Because the place is know for good winds especially in spring and summer time, Essaouira is a popular spot among kite-and windsurfers. Don’t forget to eat a fresh fish!
Free day in Essaouira. For example, today you can take a walk on the boulevard, a visit to the small harbour with the typical blue boats or shopping in the town.
In about 2.5 hours drive the driver drives you back to Marrakech where you can spend the rest of the day at leisure.
