FEZ – MERZOUGA – BOUMAIN DE DADES – MARRAKECH
Day 1
After breakfast we start our tour in southern direction, Sahara dessert. We will come along Ifrane also called the small Switzerland a most popular skiing area of morocco. We continue to Azrou through the cdar forest where you can see the small Macaque monkeys climbing the trees, Azrou famous for its Sheep’s-wool carpets and cedarwood carvings.
Continue to Midelt the Aples Capital then cross the Ziz Valley, which links the High Atlas Mountains with the Sahara desert. Revel in the shade of palms and discover the charms of the old abandoned Kasbahs among the traditional Berber villages. We will arrive at Merzouga in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay in Auberge.
Day 2
Take the advantage of this day to discover the region of Merzouga: you will begin by the village of dark skin people and have a cup of mint tea.
It’s here that you will stop to enjoy the live Gnawa music which is played by those people. In our 4×4 we will discover the nomad’s lifestyle while you visit them in their tents around the Erg Chebbi dunes. Lunch with locales in Berber village.
In the afternoon you ride out your camel crossing off the ocean of the dunes in order to spend the night in the heart of the dunes. Dinner and overnight in nomad tent.
Day 3
We will rise early to see the spectacle of the sunrise over the dunes of the Sahara before making our way back to the hotel for breakfast and a shower.
We’ll drive through the Saghro mountains We will take a short walk through Todra Gorge before arriving at Boumaln Dades for dinner and accommodation.
Day 4
After breakfast, we will head for Ouarzazate along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. Then cross the palm groves of Skoura, to continue to Ouarzazate, and the Famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou.
This UNESCO World Heritage site dates from the 16th century and has provided the setting for numerous Hollywood films such as Babel, the Lawrance of Arabia, The secret of Sahara, Légionnaire… .
Lunch in Ait ben Haddou before we drive over the High Atlas Mountains to the pearl of the South, Marrakech, where we drop you of at your hotel. End of our services.
