Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech, Morocco
Upon arrival, one of our drivers from Soul Adventure Morocco will pick you up from Menara International Airport (RAK) in Marrakech and drop you off at your hotel or Riad. After some unpacking or relaxing, it is time to explore the city. From the beautiful architecture to the warm people and most of all this city can offer you anything and everything. You will notice how vibrate the city is, but also how colorful and inviting. If you like to be surrounded by color, then you will love the bustling central square, Place Jemaa el Fna, which will be waiting to enchant you. This square is filled with its array of snake charmers, acrobats, storytellers, and tempting food stalls. It can be very overwhelming, so make sure to step into one of the rooftops and enjoy a fresh Moroccan mint tea.
Day 2: Exploring the Charms of Marrakech
Today is yours to explore the wonders of Marrakech. Stroll through the labyrinthine souks of the Medina, treat yourself to a pampering experience in a traditional Hammam, and savor the tantalizing flavors of Moroccan cuisine. Don’t miss iconic sights like the Koutoubia Mosque, the Koran school ‘Ben Youssef-Medresse,’ and the enchanting ‘Le Jardin secret’ also known as the Botanical Garden. For fashion- and architecture lovers, we recommend visiting Yves Saint Laurent’s fashion museum which will surely be a delight.
Day 3: A Scenic Drive to Ouarzazate
A question asked by many; ”Where are the Atlas mountains?”, well we will take you there after breakfast. Once you enjoyed a traditional Moroccan breakfast, we will embark on a journey to the High Atlas Mountains. The drive over the Tizi n’Tichka pass offers breathtaking views. We’ll make a stop in Ouarzazate, known as the doorstep of the Sahara Desert, where you can indulge in a delicious lunch. Our route continues through captivating Berber villages and impressive kasbahs, eventually reaching the Dades Valley, adorned with colorful rock formations and serene oases.
Day 4: Exploring the Todra Gorge and Arriving in Erg Chebbi
After a hearty Moroccan breakfast, we head to the Todra Valley, where the narrow Todra Gorge surrounds us with towering rock formations up to 300 meters high. After lunch, we proceed to Erg Chebbi, home to the mesmerizing sand dunes of the Sahara. We’ll spend the night in an auberge near the dunes, embracing the magic of the morocco desert.
Day 5: A Soul Adventure Morocco Desert Camel Trek and Starlit Camp Experience
The morning offers a chance to explore the stunning surroundings. After lunch, we’ll visit the nomads and embark on a camel trek into the Sahara. As we ride through the morocco desert, the vastness and tranquility will leave you in awe. Arriving at a small desert camp, you can witness a mesmerizing sunset and savor a delicious dinner before spending the night under a canopy of stars.
Day 6: Sunrise in the Sahara and Ait Ben Haddou
The day to wake up early and believe it! You don’t want to miss out on the breathtaking view of the sunrise in the Sahara. After a beautiful sunrise, it is time for some traditional Moroccan breakfast. To top it off, our camels will be taking us back to the village, where our comfortable 4 wheelers will be waiting for us. Then, if we haven’t already done enough, it is time to head to the famous Ait Ben Haddou, an impressive kasbah that has been featured in several films. We’ll explore the kasbah and then we will be spending the night in the charming village.
Day 7: Journey to Taroudant, the 5th King City
Our journey continues to Taroudant, a quaint city with a cozy atmosphere and fewer tourists. Known for its silver jewelry and crafts from the Tuareg people, you can explore the central square and observe everyday life. The night will be spent in a pleasant hotel.
Day 8: Leisure Day in Taroudant
Free time it is! After all you deserve some free time to yourselves. On day 8 you get a free day in Taroudant to explore at your own pace, shop for souvenirs, or simply soak in the ambiance of this charming city.
Day 9: Coastal Bliss in Essaouira
Today, we take our journey to Essaouira, a coastal village beloved by artists and ‘hippies.’ The Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is a treasure trove of charming shops. Essaouira’s coastal winds make it a popular spot for kite and windsurfing enthusiasts, and you won’t want to miss tasting the delicious fresh fish.
Day 10: Leisure Day in Essaouira
As an experienced tour agency in Morocco, we know our Soul Adventurers are in need for some free time. Especially when there is so much to explore, so on this day you will get some leisure time, where you can stroll along the boulevard, visit the small harbor with its blue boats, or browse through the town’s markets.
Day 11: Return to Marrakech
We’ll drive back to Marrakech, where you’ll have the rest of the day to spend at your leisure. Savor the final moments of your Morocco adventure in this enchanting city.
Day 12: Farewell
Our driver will pick you up from your hotel and transport you to the airport for your departure. The end of an unforgettable 12-day journey through the wonders of Morocco, where breathtaking landscapes, rich history, and warm hospitality have left a lasting impression on your heart.
