5 DAYS Ouarzazate Desert Tour
FEZ – MERZOUGA – ROSE VALLEY – OUARZAZATE – MARRAKECH
Day 1
We will pick you up from your hotel and start our way into the Middle Atlas mountains. We will pass by the village of Ifrane into the cedar forests.
We will stop at the small city of Midelt for lunch. Following our way through the Ziz valley we will head south arriving at a village at the footstep of the Sahara dunes. We will stay the night in a hotel in Merzouga.
Day 2
We will spend the day in and around Merzouga and explore the area by our 4×4 car. We will visit a normad family and have a cup of mint tea with them. We continue our way to the dark skin people to enjoy their gnawa music.
In the afternoon we go on by camel to arrive at our camp to stay the night in the tents and enjoy a thousand stars in the sky.
Day 3
Early in the morning you can experience a beautiful sunset over the dunes of the Sahara desert.
After breakfast we will go back to our 4×4 car to explore the surroundings and head in the direction of Tinjdad and the mountains of Todra and Dades. We’ll stay the night in a hotel in the gorge.
Day 4
After breakfast we will take the road to see another nomad lifestyle. This time not in their tents but living in caves. If we are lucky we will be invited to drink a glas of tea with them and continue to the tradional Boutghrar village.
We‘ll have lunch on our way and drive through the rose valley to continue to Skoura and Ouarzazate where we will spend the night.
Day 5
Ouarzazate is the village where the dry dessert landscape will slowly change into mountainious landscape. We will visit the old Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou: several times the scene for many film-sets like Laurence of Arabia, the Gladiator and so on.
We will go over the High Atlas mountains , over the N’tichi tizca pass (2.130m) to arrive in Marrakech before dark. We will drop you of at your hotel.
